| 内容記述 | Overseas Chinese and ethnic Chinese in Indonesia have experienced a harsh and oppressed history. In the latter half of the 1960s, when the Chinese language was officially forbidden to use and all Chinese schools were closed,along blank period of the language continued until the 1990's in Indonesia. Even after entering this century, riots against the ethnic Chinese occasionally occurred and the flash point of racial confrontation has not necessarily gone out completely. However, according to improved relations with China on the stage of international politics and activation of economic exchange between two countries, it is certain that circumstances surrounding ethnic Chinese as well as Chinese language in Indonesia has become different from the past. Based on the result of field surveys in some cities of the central and eastern parts of Java, this paper considers what has taken place in Chinese language education in Indonesia. |
