| 内容記述 | Epidemiological studies have indicated a negative association between serum cholesterol level and the incidence of cerebral hemorrhage in man. The serum cholesterol level of Spontaneously hypertensive rat (stroke-prone) (SHRSP) is lower than that of normotensive Wistar Kyoto rat (WKY). The lower activity of mevalonate pyrophosphate decarboxylase(MPD) was responsible for the reduced cholesterol biosynthesis in the liver of SHRSP. In this review, we found that the lower activity of MPD was caused by the reduced amount of this enzyme in SHRSP. | |||||
