| 内容記述 | The Department of Biotechnology was founded in 1986, administratively belonging to Faculty of Engineering, Fukuyama University. Molecular biology, biochemistry, animal and plant-cell biology and-technology, microbiology, marine biology, genetics and gene engineering, enzyme technology, and each experiment of these items were assigned as the main curricula compulsory for graduation. And nearly six hundreds students were graduated for six years from 1990 to 1995. They are taking an active part in various fields of industry, education, official service, etc. In 1990, the graduate course of biotechnology was established in this department. Also, research works in the fields of bioscience and biotechnology have been continuing so actively that the papers published on various international academic journals by the staffs and students amounted to more than 200 during the past eight years. In 1995, the graduate course was reorganized to establish the Graduate School of Life Science and Biotechnology authorized for awarding the degree of Doctor in Engineering. Many professors of the Department of Food Science and Technology were nominated as the staffs of this school. | |||||
