The Courses of Study have been revised so that hours of the class of the science in elementary and junior high schools were increased to improve their scholastic aptitude of the sciences in 2008. Furthermore, the subject division of science was changed in high school. However, this revision of the Courses of Study made no significant difference to the degree of understanding of science in university students. On the other hand,improved items of the correct answer rate were almost entirely different from fallen items of that,before and after the revision of the Courses of Study.
