Many of water delivery systems in Hiroshima prefecture suffered from earthquake to water distribution and service pipes, leaving about 40,000 households without water. What kinds of pipe types were damaged are examined by the investigation at the actual location, and also mentioned the restoration of failure of water supply. The damage rates of whole water supply pipes including damaged pipes caused by the Geiyo earthquake in Mihara city are estimated. And then, the appropriateness of earthquake damage estimation method of water supply pipes is discussed.
