Many of the methods of practical use are categorized as the limit equilibrium method which are considered as the easy-to-handle tools for engineering practice. On the other hand, in the limit analysis method, the upper and lower bound solutions of limit load of the failure problems can be obtained using the principle of maximum plastic work.
