This paper deals with explicit and implicit time integration scheme in the stress analysis. The constitutive equations in elastic-plastic problems are arranged from the viewpoint of explicit/implicit stress integration. It is shown that the implicit scheme is effective for simulating large deformation process such as metal cutting.
