| 内容記述 | Statical and dynamical loading tests were executed on the main hall of Houden' in Temple located at Tsuneishi in Numakuma Town next to Fukuyama City. This hall was moved from the other place and rebuilt here about 150 years before. Being entirely worn out with age, the old hall is decided to be broken and a new hall almost simillar to the old is designed to be built at the same site. The traditional wooden structures in Japan are composed of timber frame system with columns and beams. The temple halls are typical ones and they have large scaled structural members and large and heavy roofs with clay tiles (kawara). The loading tests on the traditional wooden building such as temples hall are very rare and these tests are of great importance. | |||||
