Those problems corer concrete the mixing, placing and curing of the concrete. This research comprises studies on the effects of temperature variations and the rate of evaporation of suface moisture from concrete for the developments of compressive strength of cement concrete. The results of the studies could be summarized as follows : Concretes mixed, placed, and cured at elevated temperatures normally develop at on early stage higher strengths than concretes produced and cured at normal temperatures, howerer at 28 days or more, strengths turn to be lower. A higher evaporation of surface moisture from concrete decreases the strength of the resulting concrete. Such tests illustrate that insufficient curing, especially in combination with high placement temperatures, impairs the hydration process and reduces strength accordingly.
