| 内容記述 | The pearl chain formation of cells using dielectrophoresis is required in advance of cell fusion. In this study, the yeast protoplasts are suspended in a chamber that electrodes of pin-pin configuration are mounted. The process of pearl chain formation of protoplasts that are collected on electrodes, is clarified experimentally. Also, the dependence of the number of collected protoplasts on frequency is measured as functions of applied voltage, a distance between pins of electrode and a conductivity of suspending medium. The low conductivity of suspension is found to be suitable for a collection. The collection of protoplasts is caused above 100 kHz and below 700 Hz at a conductivity of 4 μS. The spectrum of the number of collected protoplasts shows a peak at about 5 MHz at the same conductivity. Also, it is found from the observation that the number of collected cells with cell walls is considerably larger than that of collected protoplasts. | |||||
