内容記述 The soiling formed on the external walls of a building with a concrete structore causes a great damage to such buildings in terms of their durability. The dust contribute to the destruction of both the building' s form from a visual viewpoint as well as our environment on the one hand and to the material deterioriation of the wall itself on the other. This report presents some remarkable conclusions which are derived from actual investigations and experimental results on the soiling formed by dust sticking on the outer wall surface of concrete building on the side as well as the relevant countermeasures for preventing such soiling from taking place on the other. The concluded results are presented hereafter as follows: (1) The patterns of soiling do provide information on the factor which caused dust formation. (2) The soiling formation on the external walls is much more remarkable to the north-direction if compared with the other three remaining compassdirection 5the hue of the black color yields the same observation. It is believed that soiling is to be attributed to the mold as well as to the seaweeds. (3) The soiling characterized by the light brown color is caused by the iron near the seaside and by the fine earth-soil in the countryside. (4) The causes behind easy soiling formation on concrete surface are determined to be large water absorption and to the fact that surface color is conspicuous. (5) As to the soiling prevention measures, they could be outlined as follows : (I) minimizing water/cement ratio ; (II) reducing water content per unit volume of concrete to minimal acceptable value ; (III) usage of flat sheathing ; (IV) curing till enough compaction is reached ; (V) maintaining the concrete - surface at dense, flat and solid state in order to ensure it's structural durability for many years.
