 note = {P(論文), Earthquake activity in Chugoku district is considered to be relatively low and real records of eathquake motions which can be used for aseismic design of structures are very few. So it is very important to collect strong earthquake records in this area. Earthquake observation has been held at Fukuyama University since 1988. Horizontal and vertical components of the floor acceleration induced by earthquakes were recorded by a digital disk recorder which can save digitalized data which contains preliminary and principal motion of an earthquake. Seven small earthquake records were obtained in these two years. Although acceleration level of the obserbed earthquake motions are low, their vibrational characteristics are considered by the spectral analysis and some features of earthquakes in Chugoku district are pointed out.},
