In order to meet the needs, the department of information processing engineering was newly founded in Fukuyama University in April 1986. In this department we emphasize not only the fundamental education, but also the education of image information processing. We summarize, in this report, the object and the contents of our edu cation, especially of software, the configuration of the computer system and some considerations on the intror duction of the system. We hope that this report will be of help to those who are intending to found similar departments.},
