| 内容記述 | This paper describes the scope of the railway commuters' area around the station in a suburban area by geometric approach. First, under the assumption that the railway line has a infinite numbers of stations, the area that railway line covers is analyzed. The residents in this area are expected to use railway in making a trip to the city center. On the other hand, the residents outside the area make a direct trip to the city center without mode mix. Secondly, we pay attention to a microscopic state between stations along the railway line. The boundary line between the area that the station covers and that of neighboring station is resulted to be a hyperbola. | |||||
