| 内容記述 | Formulations of most generalized continuum mechanics have been based on a priori definition of directors except Eringen and his coworkers. Similarly we also have been trying to formulate the theory of general multi-directed continua, each material point of which has m single directors and n director polyads. The aim of this paper is to clarify the geometrical relation of directors and the physical meaning of director stresses and forces of general multi-directed continua by means of deriving directors from microscopical structures of an ideal model and reformulating director stresses etc. by the microscopical Cauchy's laws of motion. | |||||
