| 内容記述 | Particle buildup effect on filter performance in parallel stream type HGMS filter is investigated experimentally and compared with the theory. In the first place, the diameter of an isolated wire accumulated by paramagnetic hematite particles was measured as a function of time. The experimental results are found to agree well with the theory where a fitting parameter K, which is the ratio of the effective density of accumulated particles to the real Density for bulk material, is determined to be 0.33-0.36. Secondly the time dependence of the recovery is measured for two kinds of parallel stream type HGMS filters in which many thin ferromagnetic wires are arranged. Again the experimental results agree well with the theory. | |||||
