| 内容記述 | Counterpoises act as a sort of electric grounding equipments in power transmission line systems. They are horizontal wires buried in the earth at a depth of about a half meter, and tied to the tower base. Regarding the counterpoise as an electric circuit of one conductor with distributed line constants, we analyze the input impedance of the counterpoise for an applied impulse voltage by the basic theory of distributed constant circuit. The variation of the input impedance with time is as follows: It starts with the initial surge impedance, and subsides exponentially to the final leakage resistance of the counterpoise. The impedance characteristics of the counterpoise may be classified into (1) the inductive, (2) the capacitive, and (3) the resistive types depending on the effects of the resistivity of the soil, the length of the counterpoises and the number of the parallel counterpoise wires. The results of the analysis are confirmed by comparison with those of a series of field tests carried out by Research Laboratory of Shikoku Electric Company. It will be worthy of notice that the assembly of several short counterpoise wires acts as the capacitive circuit under special conditions. | |||||
