The research showed four results. The choice of the most profitable word meaning was difficult for the unsuccessful language learners. Secondly, the grammatical complexity influenced the understanding of English sentences as did the length of the English sentence. Thirdly, the cloze test to evaluate students' reading ability was not always suitable for unsuccessful language learners.
