| 内容記述 | 米語は米国人の行動文法の発現であると同時に、米国の「社会の統一の作業」のメタ言語 (meta-language) としての役割を果たしている。すなわち、米国社会の形成過程そのものが普遍と認識され、その主要言語たる米語そのものが普遍価値と結びついた。米国人の柱石である人権思想と言語の一極化とは相容れないものであるにもかかわらず、「社会の統一の作業」の具体的発現に米語はなったのである。換言すれば、米語は、米国人の行動文法における「正義」として、米国人の主観的自己認識そのものなのである。 | |||||
