          <dc:description>The physiological effects of dietary non-methylene interrupted polyenoic fatty acids (NMIFAs) are reviewed. NMIFAs are constituents of lipids from some lower animals and some plants. Several investigators have been reported beneficial effects of dietary NMIFA-containing oils. This review also covers analytical methods and possible metabolic fate of dietary NMIFAs.</dc:description>
